Welcome to the Beginner Junior course in Moroccan Darija at NexaLearn! This course is tailored for children aged 7-15 who want to learn Darija, the Moroccan dialect, from scratch. Whether your child has a cultural connection to Darija, or is just curious about the language, our fun and structured course will give them a deep understanding of both the language and the culture.

  Course duration: 36 weeks, 2 times a week

  Times: Choose between Saturday and Sunday or Tuesday and Thursday

  Level: Junior – Beginner

  Target group: Junior (age 7-15) beginners without prior knowledge in Darija.

Course content

    Understand and use basic greetings and phrases:

The children will learn to greet others, introduce themselves, and use polite expressions in Darija.

    Build a strong vocabulary:

The children will acquire a wide range of vocabulary related to different themes such as colours, numbers, family, friends, common objects, food and daily activities.

    Describe daily routines and usual activities:

Using simple sentences and common verbs, the children will be able to describe their daily routines and activities.

    Engage in Simple Conversations:

The children will practice constructing and participating in basic dialogues, such as shopping, asking for directions, and discussing their interests.

    Read and write in Darija:

Using Latin letters, the children will learn to read and write simple words and sentences in Darija.

    Gain cultural insight:

The children will learn about Moroccan traditions, holidays, daily life and common expressions through stories, songs and cultural lessons.

    Recording of online sessions:

All our online sessions with teachers are recorded and added to the student’s playlist so that the student can always go back to what they went through, as well as have access in the event of illness or absence. This ensures that everyone keeps up and has access to all the material they need.

The children get access to their own digital textbooks as a supplement to the online sessions. These books are tailored to the learning program and include fun facts and stories​.

After registration, we carry out a level test of the child with the teacher to ensure that they are placed at the right level.
